"Food for Thought" Near Perimeter Mall: Wednesdays through the end of August, 7pm at Barnes & Noble Perimeter, facilitated by Chris Byrne. Join Chris for weekly discussions of the book Introduction to Buddhism.
Dharma for Addictions: Buddhist Advice for Addiction and Recovery: Sunday, August 3 at Rameshori Buddhist Center with Kelsang Shewang. $25 or $20 students/seniors/limited income, $15 for half-day. Whether you or someone you loves struggles with an addiction, this day course will be of definite benefit in learning how to apply Buddha's timeless teachings to the problems of attachment and addiction.
Annual Ocean of Wisdom Nectar Celebration: August 23 - September 1 at Rameshori Buddhist Center with Gen Mondrub. Join us for part or all of our annual event centered around developing our wisdom to benefit ourselves and others. The event will begin with the Blessing Empowerment of Buddha Manjushri and includes three subsequent retreats.
"Imagination, Creativity, and Inner Peace" - Gen Mondrub to speak at the High Museum of Art: Tuesday, September 23, 7pm. $20 or $15 for students/seniors/limited income. This special talk at the High is perfect for people curious to learn more about how Buddhist practitioners use their imagination and creativity to create an authentic, lasting inner peace. Everyone is welcome.
